Wachau Valley

The Wachau Valley is a scenic region located in Lower Austria.

We will start our tour with a visit to the Melk Benedictine Abbey, an impressive monastic complex located on a rock above the Danube. The abbey is a remarkable example of Baroque architecture and houses a valuable collection of manuscripts and works of art.

Next, we will head to the medieval town of Dürnstein, known for the ruins of the castle where King Richard the Lionheart was held prisoner. We will explore the narrow streets of the town and visit the Baroque church with its distinctive blue facade.

We will continue our tour with a walk along the Danube to Aggstein Castle, an impressive medieval fortress located on a rocky hill with panoramic views of the valley.
